Talk to reveal what happens after Huddersfield’s 10-year blueprint renovation is finished?
A senior Kirklees executive is to give a talk about Huddersfield’s longer term future.
David Shepherd, Kirklees Council’s Executive Director for Place, has overall responsibility for a wide range of the council’s services including housing, planning, transport and regeneration.
He will be speaking about Huddersfield ‘Beyond the Blueprint’ in early November at an event organised by Huddersfield Civic Society.
In 2019 the Huddersfield Blueprint revealed a 10-year vision for the dramatic improvement of Huddersfield town centre.
Construction is now well underway at regeneration projects across Huddersfield. These include council, university, rail and private sector projects, both in and around the town centre and along the Leeds Road corridor to the Accu Stadium. The new library is now open and work continues on other projects due to complete in the next few years.
But what will come next ‘Beyond the Blueprint’?
David will be talking about this at Brian Jackson House, 2 New North Parade, Huddersfield, on Wednesday, November 4, at 7pm. There will be the chance for people to ask questions.
Members of Huddersfield Civic Society do NOT need to book to attend.
However, non-members are requested to book a free place via Eventbrite. A donation of £5 at the door is suggested for non-members to cover room hire costs.
