Chance to visit the stainless-steel cutlery industry’s birthplace … and it’s very different now

There will be a visit to the birthplace of stainless-steel cutlery manufacturing in Sheffield at the end of June. The event on Tuesday, June 30 at 2.30pm is to the Portland Works in Sheffield which was built in 1879 and is now one of the last remaining working examples of a purpose-built metal trades factory….
