The site is adjacent to a building of both architectural and historic importance, Spring Lodge. It was awarded the ‘Best Refurbishment’ project in the HCS Design Awards 2015. The society has no objections to this proposal as long as there is no deviation from the proposed use of coursed Yorkshire stone and appropriate roofing materials in the construction of the dwellings.
